Workshop facilitator: Veronika Rolle-Green
Outline: Working in the intercultural field since 1995 I soon became aware of the isolation of this field in terms of how it related to other more established areas of human resources development like team and leadership development. Early on in my career as consultant I had the opportunity to expand my activities into those areas and ever since have been trying to integrate my various experiences into one approach. Intercultural leadership development is at the heart of my work since years and I am looking forward to this opportunity in Barcelona to share my experiences with you
Main Topic: Reflection on how culture matters in today's organisations and hence what aspects of culture play a role in leadership.
Sharing of Experience: what is intercultural leadership competence?
how to develop intercultural leadership competence
challenges
Outlook: My personal vision of intercultural leadership development is to allow a person to grow beyond seeing culture as an external force which he/she needs to manage and to consciously take on Qreatin9 culture as a leadership responsibility
Approach: Short input on basic terms and models, high involvement of participants with activities and discussions, individual needs and interests will be taken into account as far as possible, examples of successful intercultural leadership development seminars, resource booklet for participants
