Identify
the differences between training, facilitating and presenting in an intercultural
environment |

Hear
from experienced interculturalists about what is expected of an ethical
and effective global trainer, facilitator and presenter and what the current
trends and best practices are |

Learn
the basic five-step process of how to create and complete an effective and
ethical intercultural workshop/presentation including needs assessment,
session design, materials development, delivery/facilitation and debrief/follow-up |

Observe,
design and participate in key sections of typical training sessions |

Practice
delivery and facilitation skills in a supportive environment with constructive
feedback (this is optional for a limited number of participants who wish
to participate) |

Develop
concrete personal action plans for filling in immediate qualification or
skill gaps over the short- to medium term and pursuing consistent professional
development over the long term |

| Background: |
JEREMY
SOLOMONS
is a UK-born founding member of ICPW and founder/president of Jeremy Solomons
& Associates, based in Austin, Texas. He provides customised coaching,
facilitation and training in Career Development, Conflict Resolution, Global
Diversity, Global Leadership, Intercultural Communication, Multicultural
Teambuilding and Presentation Skills to current and future leaders around
the world. In the past, he worked as a full-time Banker, Educator and Journalist
in six multinational institutions and lived in eight countries in Asia,
Europe and North America. He was a founding board member of SIETAR USA,
with shared responsibility for Careers and Mentoring and has co-designed
and co-delivered many workshops on intercultural and international career
development in the USA and Europe since 1995 |

PETER
PETZAL is a founding member of ICPW. Managing Director of 2ci,
a UK based consultancy working with corporate management and international
teams to ensure effective performance where working with other cultures.
He has extensive experience at all levels of business from Government organisations,
through major industrial companies to SMEs at both strategic and operations
level. Much of his work involves designing and delivering training and facilitated
workshops for international teams; global diversity projects and developing
international leadership. In particular his work involves assessing and
working with organisational differences, leveraging diversity and facilitating
dispute resolution. Over the last few years he has developed an extensive
practise on India within the 'outsourcing' field. |
